When Should We Wear Matching Christmas Pajamas?
Between December 1st and December 25th. Order them in November, take the photo in December, and get consent from everyone in it.
That photo's going to outlive all of you. It'll be on a card, on a fridge, in the group chat and eventually at somebody's wedding. The least you can do is take it in December, so your descendants can at least see why you did it.
The Court has one firm requirement, and that's consent. Everyone in the frame has to agree. That includes the teenager and it includes your partner's parents, who've been told it's optional. It also includes the dog, who hasn't agreed to this and is going to take that hat off the moment you look away. If someone won't do it, take the photo without them. You'll get a better photo.
Order by mid-November if you want them for a card, because popular sizes go early and it's always the size your brother needs. Buy a size up, since these run small and they'll shrink. Wash them first so they don't look like they just came out of a bag. For the photo itself, use daylight near a window and take a lot of shots. Children and dogs will look at the camera for one combined second.
After the 25th it's just a photo now. It's a photo forever. The pajamas themselves, you can keep wearing. Nobody's checking.
The Ruling: Allowed from December 1 through December 25.
This ruling comes from a joke website. There is no court. The dates are our opinion, and the practical tips are ordinary common sense, so use your own judgment.
